Aaaand the holidays are coming..Thanksgiving which I love and is my husband's fav, is going to be extremely hard this year. It'll be the first holiday since the death of my beloved MIL. I usually look forward to the holidays, I just love all the family time. This year will be like walking on eggshells around my darling husband. Wish me luck!
My children are great and my home life is good. December is almost here and that brings graduation for my husband and more income for the fam, which is good. We will start house shopping and baby making after the winter holidays and all of that is very exciting! Wish us luck. ;)
So that is it for my update...hopefully something more exciting will happen and I won't have to bore anyone who might be reading my ramblings!

So, I am scheduled to work tomorrow right, and I just know I'll be called off. It's the first day of a new schedule and I'm only scheduled a day shift so I'd be guaranteed to work my 12 hour shift on Tuesday, but it still pisses me off. Maybe they will task someone and for that it is NOT my turn. lol I hope I don't feel like a zombie tomorrow! UGH The price I pay these days for trying to have some fun. I am definitely not a college kid anymore. ;) <yawn>

I am excited too! Tonight we (my husband and I) are going out with some friends. It has been way too long since we have been out on the town together. I love my kids, but dang! Sometimes you just need some adult fun. ;) Can't wait!!

UGH! I don't really NEED work, I have a job, a damned good one at that. We are just so freaking slow right now it hurts!! I work a 20 bed Pedi/ 5 bed PICU. We have been busy off and on, but mostly slow. The whole hospital is slow though so it really sucks. When our unit is slow we usually float to the NICU, but they have been slow too. So NO WORK! Also, since the hospital is slow we are not "tasking". When they don't need us in the NICU we float out to the other floors to help out, pushing meds and what ever else needs to be done by a nurse when that floor's nurses are drowning. But, as I said, the whole freaking place is slow so no tasking for us either.
I am on for tomorrow with 3 other nurses. Very doubtful I'll actually get to work! I find it very hard to believe we are that damn good at keeping people healthy! LOL
More updates to follow..any advice?
